Olive the Ostrich.

I LOVE Laurie Wisbrun's Etsy shop.  I mean check out those Lama's!!  A while back she had the cutest ostrich fabric available for purchase, but I just couldn't bring myself to spend the money on it.  I love that her designs are so original, so unique, and like no other fabric that's available.  I always look at her fabric and think to myself....I HAVE to have that!!

I am so excited to work with Robert Kaufman and Laurie Wisbrun again!!  I received an adorable stack of fabric in the mail today from Laurie's new line called Olive the Ostrich.  SO CUTE!  See for yourself...

Can those love birds get any cuter?!?!

I've got some cute ideas in mind for this fabric and can't wait to get started!  My ankle on my sewing machine broke today...so it's going to have to wait until next week when it gets fixed!!  But isn't this line incredibly adorable?!?!  Fabric is expected to be available sometime in November!

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas...

Yep.  I made my Christmas tree skirt in April!!!  Last year I had SO many Christmas projects that I wanted to complete for the boys and our home, and I got NONE of them done due to lack of time...so why not get started early?!

When I discovered I would be able to play with this adorable Brrr line from Laurie Wisbrun , I just knew I HAD to make some cute Christmas goodies with it!

I had a really hard time deciding just what I was going to make, but when I saw this pattern available from Fourteen May, I knew that was it!  I loved everything about it.  Especially the pom pom trim!  I'm a sucker for pom pom trim!

I didn't follow the pattern exactly, made a few changes...the biggest one being the bias tape all the way around the edges.  I am thrilled with how it turned out.  Mostly because of the fabric!

The fabric I used for the bias tape is from the Brrr line too.  It reminds me of those little candy dots that are stuck to the paper...no? :)  I especially LOVE the colors!  Aqua, Red, White, and Coral.  My favorites!!!!  I love that it's not "traditional" for Christmas.

Griffin wanted a picture with the tree skirt too.  He was feeling a little left out.

Notice the snowflake stitching around the edge?

I am a lucky girl to have had this opportunity to have such gorgeous fabric to make this with!  Thank you Laurie, and Robert Kaufman!  The polar bears are incredibly adorable!!!

Don't worry, the Brrr line by Laurie Wisbrun is due to hit stores in June!!!  You'll have plenty of time to make cute things before Christmas too! :)

I have a few more things in mind for this fabric, I can't wait to show you guys!

These two images were recently sent over from clients or photographers who bought one of my Little Man onesie, and had their babe's picture taken with it on.  How cute are those precious little boys!?

A New Owl!

Check out how cute this little Ric Rack Owl is!  Kate from See Kate Sew picked me {and a few others} to test out her pattern!!  I made one for each of the boys...and of course could only grab a picture of 1 of the boys with his owl...the other 2 were non-compliant.  Well, ok...I fibbed a little bit.  Ethan was at school and Griffin wouldn't sit still....he kept throwing his owl across the room.  So Sam was the only willing one! :)

Whats not to love about that cute little owl!?  They would make a great gift, and with Christmas just around the corner?   Imagine that cute owl peering out the top of your little one's stocking waiting to be loved to so many years to come!  The pattern is available here!  Thanks so much Kate for allowing me to test your pattern! :)
