This is What Happens...

When too much sewing happens!  My house becomes a disaster. 

The laundry takes over my bed,

the dishes take over my sink {this is actually pretty mild - and of course its full of bottles!}

and the my kids start blowing the dust around the floor. {that's a sure sign of it's time for a sewing break}

 

I need to take a sewing break, and clean!  That is my goal today.  So far...SUCCESS!!  It smells like Meyer's Clean Day in here...and it smells delicious! :)  I just bought that stuff from Target on my last trip and I love it.  It smells so yummy, and is safe for your home!!  I love effective and safe cleaning products!!

A Little About Me...

Yep.  That's me.  And my loves.  My three son's and my hubster. :)

I wanted you to get to know me a little bit today!

I like to consider myself a SAHM, even though I practically have 2 full time jobs...or three!  I work outside of my home while my husband stays home with the boys, which allows me to be home during the week, while he is at work.  It's hard not really seeing each other much...but it's not forever...it's just for now.  One day I hope to finish my degree for Paralegal...but not until the kids are much older!

I started my Etsy business in Dec. of 2010.  When my youngest was just 3 months old.  I know it's a lot to take on, but I really really love to sew, so I jumped in with both feet!

Speaking of sewing...I had NEVER sewn anything my entire life until last May.  I asked for a sewing machine for mothers day, and my first project was my son's quilt, I was bound a determined to make him something, that was cute and handmade by me.  :)

Even though I am sure we are done having crazy kids {and normal ones too},

 I'd still love to have a little girl!!

6 Months!!

My littlest turns 6 months old TODAY.  I can't believe it.  He's almost sitting up... 

see the cute little sticker on his shirt!?  Makes it so easy to remember his age and such a cute easy way too!  It;s just a little sticker that you peel off and stick to the shirt and when your done...save it for the baby book or toss!  I love it.  I found them on etsy in her cut little shop here. 

I just love how they match little G's quilt!

How did you take your baby's monthly photos?  Did you take them on a special quilt every month like we do?  Did you use a special stuffed animal to watch his growth?  I'd love to hear some ideas!

To Pin or not to Pin...

That is the question! Do you pin?

Ever heard of Pintrest?  Do you use it?  Is it something I should use, or is it another way to waste my day away on the internet?  I mean S.E.R.I.O.U.S.L.Y.  I could spend ALL DAY in my google reader catching up on all the cute blogs I read.  Couldn't you?  I just love it.

I am still new to the Etsy world, and would LOVE a little feedback from YOU!!

I would love to know what you think of my shop, and if you have purchased something, tell me what you think!  Be honest!  I want to know, so I can improve or keep doing what I am doing.

I have a HUGE fabric stash:

{this picture does it no justice!  It's really huge, and that's not even all of it...there are 2 more baskets!}

..and would love to know what your favorite fabrics are or what you would like to see me sew with those fabrics.  I have a few favorites of my own, but would like some opinions from all of you.  :)

I know this is a terrible picture...but it's the best I could get with a 5 month old who wont. stop. wiggling!  He's got 2 teeth!!!  No wonder he has been soaking his shirts like he's in his own wet tee contest!
